DS ENERGY 20kWh Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) battery featuring Grade A Tesla cells, a touchscreen monitor, an integrated DC circuit breaker, remote monitoring, and 6-unit parallel scaling is an industrial-grade, ultra-high-capacity energy storage system. This setup is specifically engineered for large estates, off-grid commercial operations, agricultural demands, or light industrial backup.

System Overview

This battery system delivers a massive 20.48kWh of usable energy in a single cabinet footprint. To safely manage this much energy in a standard low-voltage solar infrastructure, it is configured at 51.2V with a 400Ah capacity (using a 16S4P or equivalent heavy-duty internal cell configuration). By utilizing Grade A cells built to EV-density standards, the system guarantees maximum thermal stability and efficient power delivery even under heavy, continuous loads.

Key Features & Component Breakdown

- Grade A Cells: Premium, factory-certified cells with perfectly matched internal resistance. This eliminates cell drift and ensures the entire 400Ah capacity discharges evenly.

- LiFePO4 Chemistry: The safest lithium variant available. It is chemically immune to thermal runaway (fire) and offers an exceptional operational life compared to standard NMC lithium chemistries.

- Interactive Touchscreen Monitor: A large front-mounted color LCD touchscreen interface. It provides local access to real-time cell balancing, historic fault logs, and system configuration profiles without requiring a laptop.

- Remote Monitoring Function: Features an external or internal Wi-Fi/4G/GPRS data logger. This uploads system metrics directly to a cloud dashboard or mobile app for remote troubleshooting, firmeware updates, and capacity tracking.

- DC Circuit Breaker Protector: An industrial-grade Molded Case Circuit Breaker (MCCB) rated for high DC voltages and currents. It provides mechanical isolation and instant short-circuit tripping to safeguard the premises.

- 6-Unit Parallel Expansion: Powered by a high-end master/slave BMS. Up to 6 units can be networked together using CAN communication buses, scaling total energy storage from 20kWh to an incredible 120kWh.

- In-built Fire extinguishing system

Inverter Compatibility & Installation Notes

With a continuous discharge capability of 200A, a single 20kWh unit can seamlessly feed large 12kW, 15kW, or even 16kW single-phase or three-phase hybrid inverters (such as Solark, Deye, Sunsynk, Victron, or Schneider).

Due to the extreme weight of a 20kWh battery pack—typically ranging from 180kg to 220kg (396 to 485 lbs)—these systems are strictly configured as heavy-duty, floor-standing server cabinets. They usually include built-in industrial caster wheels, leveling feet, and dual-fan active cooling systems inside the cabinet to maintain optimal cell temperatures during heavy high-current charging cycles.
